Founded in 1957 by Pastor Joseph E. Scott, Greater True Vine Temple Church of God In Christ is a Pentecostal church under the leadership of Pastor Donell Wright. Greater True Vine operates as a non-profit organization located in the heart of Los Angeles, CA.

With the mission of helping and building the community, Greater True Vine Temple is home to various ministries and outreach programs. The programs rendered include Children's Ministry, Homeless Care, Women's & Men's Ministry, Couple's Ministry, Performing Arts program, and an Education program. With the motto "A vision for the future and a rich past". The mission of Greater True Vine Temple is to impact lives for people all over the world.
Our Leadership
Dr. Donell Wright Jr.
Lead Pastor
Dr. Wright is the Pastor of the Greater True Vine Temple Church of Christ in Los Angeles, California. In July, 2019, he received a Doctor of Divinity Degree from Long Beach Christian College, where he sits on the Board of Directors. This year, he was appointed as the President of the Board of Directors of Kingdom Impact Bible College. Additionally, he is a 17 year educator in the Long Beach Unified School District. Dr. Wright has traveled across the country ministering through the preached word, seminars, and music workshops. His credo is simply, “A Commitment to Strive for Excellence in Ministry.”
